Emergency Towing Arrangements

The Maritime Safety Committee (MSC 84) has adopted requirements to have emergency towing procedures on cargo ships. Compliance will be required for new ships constructed on or after 1January 2010; and for existing ships constructed before 1 January 2010 by 1 January 2012.
