SURVEY RESULTS

Question 1: In 2020, will the availability of max 0.5% Sulphur fuels be enough to meet the shipping industry needs?

Answers: Yes: 44% / No: 6% / Not sure: 50%

Question 2: Best solution for existing dry bulkers in view of 2020:

Answers: Low Sulphur fuels: 85% / Scrubbers: 15% / Alternative fuels (LNG, Methanol): 0%

Question 3: Best solution for Newbuilding dry bulkers in view of 2020:

Answers: Low Sulphur fuels: 45% / Scrubbers: 36% / Alternative fuels (LNG, Methanol): 18%

Question 4: Will scrubbers be a cost competitive option against the use of max 0.5% Sulphur fuels?

Answers: Yes: 15% / No: 62% / Not sure: 23%

Question 5: By 2020, will manufacturers/shipyards have enough capacity to meet scrubber installation needs?

Answers: Yes: 13% / No: 80% / Not sure: 7%
