Following the Bulk Jupiter incident a group of industry stakeholders established a Global Bauxite Working Group (GBWG) whose purpose was to conduct research into the behaviour of Bauxite during shipping. The GBWG finished the research and has produced a report of their findings and submitted the report to IMO’s sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers CCC 4 (11 to 15 September 2017) for consideration.
