Understanding Operational Vessel Data (OVD): 

A Proposed Common Standard for Maritime GHG Reporting

The webinar will provide an introduction to the Operational Vessel Data (OVD) framework, including its background, development, and proposed future governance. Participants will gain an understanding of the scope and practical applications of OVD, its core principles and data structure, and how it supports greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting through standardised vessel data exchange. The session will also include practical examples of fuel type-based and BDN-based reporting, together with guidance on the treatment of special operational scenarios such as methane slip, CII corrections, Onshore Power Supply (OPS), and direct emissions.
