Sulphur cap requirements were announced via a Notice [2018]239 issued by MSA Shanghai – the local PSC Authority – on 27 Aug 2018, as attached herewith in Chinese. INTERCARGO Members are invited to advise your fleets that:
from 1 Oct 2018, all your ships, berthed and navigating in port areas of Shanghai, are required to use fuel oil of less than 0.5% sulphur content.
