INTERCARGO members and guests had the opportunity to attend a very interesting presentation by S&P GLOBAL PLATTS delivered by Peter Norfolk, Editorial Director, Global Shipping & Freight, and Pradeep Rajan, Senior Managing Editor.
The presenters explained what is impacting the Dry Bulk market from the commodity side. Their presentation looked among other at what is happening in the steel and coal markets and how that is playing up in the dry bulk freight market.
The presentation was delivered in the context of the INTERCARGO meetings in Hong Kong on 6-7 March 2017 (see relevant article here) during the Presentations afternoon session on the second day.
