INTERCARGO Briefs on IMO's 7th Intersessional Working Group on the Reduction of GHG Emissions (ISWG-GHG 7)

The 7th Session of IMO’ Intersessional Working Group on the Reduction of GHG Emissions (ISWG-GHG 7) took place on 19-23 October 2020.

The agenda of ISWG-GHG 7 comprised as key item the development of new short-term measures:

• (Agenda item 2) Further consideration of concrete proposals to improve the operational energy efficiency of existing ships, with a view to developing draft amendments to chapter 4 of MARPOL Annex VI and associated guidelines, as appropriate
