Suez Canal and Bulk Carrier

This year, it is the 4th year after the inauguration of the New Suez Canal on Aug. 6th, 2015. It is reported by the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) on 6 Aug that the financial year of 2018/2019 records the highest annual revenue, an increase of 5.4% compared to the previous financial year.

In February 2019, SCA announced that rebate would be granted to (Laden/Ballast) Dry Bulk Vessels, operating between Americas’ ports and Asian ports, and remain in force till the end of 2019 (circular no. 3/2018 (https://www.suezcanal.gov.eg/English/Navigation/NavigationCirculars/Pages/nc03.2018.aspx).
