Advice for Members regarding situation in Strait of Hormuz and Middle East

The situation in the Gulf waters and the Strait of Hormuz region is changing by the hour. INTERCARGO has kept members updated on new developments, including the outcomes and key points of update meetings held by navies’ offices, including MECIO, JMIC, EU NAVFOR, NATO, UKMTO, and others.

Feedback from members indicated the major concerns to be uncertainty, as well as the safety of the crew and the ships.

Members are advised that, between Secretariat updates, the websites of JMIC, MECIO and UKMTO should be referred to for Advisory, Alerts and other timely assessments: https://mscio.eu/advisories/.

Stay well-informed and carry out a specific risk assessment for each ship and her voyage.

If necessary, contact the Secretariat for input and updates via info@intercargo.org.
