IMO’ Intersessional Working Group on the Reduction of GHG Emissions (ISWG-GHG 5)

Dear Full Members of INTERCARGO,

The 5^th Session of IMO’ Intersessional Working Group on the Reduction of GHG Emissions (ISWG-GHG 5) is meeting on May 7-10 and will report the outcome of its deliberations to the following week’s MEPC 74.

The agenda of ISWG-GHG 5 comprises among other:

• (Item 4) Consideration of concrete proposals on candidate short-term measures
• (Item 5) Consideration of concrete proposals on candidate mid-/long-term measures and action to address the identified barriers

Attached you will find INTERCARGO’s Brief on ISWG-GHG 5  (and the cosponsored paper).

The outcome Brief for both ISWG-GHG 5 and the upcoming MEPC 74 (May 13-17) will be circulated after the conclusion of the latter.
