INTERCARGO and its Members commit themselves to a safe, efficient, high quality and environmentally-friendly dry cargo shipping industry. INTERCARGO considers that free and fair competition in the shipping industry is of fundamental value and this serves as its prime principle. INTERCARGO aims to create strategies to enhance the interests of its Members for the benefit of the dry cargo shipping industry.
1.2 Purpose and Membership
INTERCARGO is a voluntary, non profit making association. Its members, who are engaged directly or indirectly with the dry cargo shipping industry, accept the business principles of free, fair and open competition and are committed to high standards of safety – including crew safety and welfare, quality, and environmental practice in their shipping related activities.
INTERCARGO aims to be engaged in activities which:-
1. Promote the interests of its Members in matters of general policy and strategy pertaining to the dry bulk shipping industry within the scope of its Objectives.
2. Inform and consult with its Members on dry cargo shipping issues.
3. Work within a “Work Programme” recommended by its Management Committee and Executive Committee and agreed at the Annual General Meetings and implemented by its Management Committee, on any technical, commercial, operational or similar issue related to the dry cargo shipping industry.
4. Work for a unified shipping industry view on matters of common interest to the various entities of the international shipping industry.
5. Cooperate with other international entities in furtherance of the attainment of its Objectives.
6. Operate under an Anti-Trust and Competition Law Compliance status.
7. Perform any other activity conducive to the attainment of the above.
To join INTERCARGO, members must agree to the conditions of membership laid out in the INTERCARGO Constitution.
An annual (calendar year) membership fee is payable as follows:
• Full Member (GBP per year): 1-5 ships £4,270 for any number of vessels up to 5, then £391 per ship if more than 5 ships up to a maximum fee of £21,000.
You have 5 ships to be registered with INTERCARGO fleet, annual membership fee will be GBP4270; if you join INTERCARGO in month July and remaining months of year as "5", the total pro-rate membership fee will be (4270x5/12=)1779GBP for the rest of the year;
you have 8 ships, annual membership fee will be (4270+391x(8-5)=) 5443GBP; if you join INTERCARGO in month July and remaining months of year as "5", the total pro-rate membership fee will be (5443x5/12=)2268GBP for the rest of the year.
• Consociate Member : half the fees that would be paid as a Full Member.
• Associate Member (GBP per year): £1,075; if you join INTERCARGO in month July and remaining months of year as "5", the total pro-rate membership fee will be (1075x5/12=)448GBP for the rest of the year.

With Non-Government Organization status at the International Maritime Organization and participation in relevant shipping events, INTERCARGO’s objective is the creation of a safe, efficient, high quality and environmentally friendly dry cargo shipping industry. INTERCARGO formulates its strategies based on the prime principle of free and fair competition in the dry cargo industry, to enhance the interests of its Members and benefit not only dry cargo shipping but also the shipping industry as a whole.
Entities interested to join INTERCARGO must agree to the conditions of membership as laid out in INTERCARGO’s Constitution.

We maintain databases on State control inspections and experiences when loading and unloading dry bulk cargoes at Terminals. The information collected is limited to that identified on the relevant forms.
You may elect to join INTERCARGO by submitting an online form. The information collected is limited to that identified on the relevant forms, and will be stored in membership databases.
Our webserver is not set up to generally track, collect or distribute personal information about its visitors. It does recognise the home server of visitors, but not email addresses. For example, we can tell which Internet Service Provider our visitors use, but not the names, addresses or other information about our visitors that would allow us to identify the particular visitors to our sites. This information is used only for internal purposes. For example, we compile statistics that show the daily number of visitors to our sites, the daily requests we receive for particular files on our web sites, and what countries those requests come from. These aggregated statistics are used internally to better provide services to the members and may also be provided to others, but again, the statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
We do, however, collect additional information, such as, but not limited to Internet IP addresses when accessing the Member's only areas of the site.
WE DO NOT SELL, TRADE, EXCHANGE OR OTHERWISE MAKE AVAILABLE ANY PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION TO ANY OTHER COMPANY OR ORGANISATION, except where it is explicitly stated that information may be shared (for example in the Inspection Reporting form).
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
